Flowserve phase II

The American company FlowServe makes high-quality pump systems and accessories for the oil and gas industry, the chemical industry, water treatment companies and the energy industry. In Etten-Leur it has extensive production facilities where technically complex products are assembled. To make production more sustainable and to improve the quality of the workplace, FlowServe replaced existing lighting for Datalux line lighting a few years ago. The perfect light command on the work floor that has been achieved has convinced Flowserve to also equip the remaining production locations with DATALUX. Damen and Spie Building Solutions have once again completed a top project.

Hearthside food bars

Hearthside Europe produces delicious nutritional food bars in Leerdam in Utrecht. The modern and highly automated company works for customers all over the world. Hearthside Europe distinguishes itself by a high degree of expertise in the field of exclusive recipes for, among other things, diet, sports and functional food bars. Hearthside Europe is part of the American Hearthside Food Solutions and works entirely on a B2B basis.

The high-quality production of these bars takes place under the strictest food production standards. When Den Hertog Elektrotechniek from Hardinxveld-Giessendam was asked to improve the light level and realize energy savings, the choice for a DATALUX line lighting system was quickly made. After all: this light line system is round, has no dust accumulation, contains no glass and provides unprecedented colour recognition for the food processing industry.

Jannink Concrete manufacturing

Jannink Beton has been housed in Wierden for many years, a specialist in what matters precast concrete production. The portfolio includes high-quality products such as balcony & gallery panels, wall covering tapes, bacon tapes, sills, footings, decorative frames, stairs and many custom products. Jannink Beton has had its own model workshop for years, specializing in manufacturing wooden molds for the prefab concrete industry. In short: Jannink Beton is the concrete producer with a little bit more.

To save energy and to provide the employees in the workshop with a better working environment, Jannink has invested in sustainable energy-efficient DATALUX lighting. The result may be there! The luminaires are concealed above the crane tracks to create a perfect light experience with good colour recognition.

Futura Coldstore

In Hoče, Slovenia, Futura Cold Stores has a state-of-the-art cold store and company, based on the most modern techniques. Equipped with the most advanced cooling techniques, Fudura Coldstore supplies frozen storage capacity for the whole of Slovenia. Together with lighting expert Pro-Bis, Luminaid signed up for the realization of the lighting system. And the result may be there. Futura and Luminaid will work closely together in the coming years on the re-lighting of other projects in the region.

Parking Roosevelt Antwerp

Parking Roosevelt of Interparking is located right in the centre of Antwerp. This modern car park is fully equipped and enables visitors to the centre of Antwerp to leave their car safely and comfortably. The car park is ideally located below the Rooseveltplaats with the traffic junction of the Lijn, the UGC cinemas, the De Keyserlei, the Opera, Queen Elisabeth Hall, the Central station, the Zoo and the Diamond District.

Together with technology partner VMA, LUMINAID provided the lighting for this car park, including the installation of the light lines.

Kloosterboer has realized a new state-of-the-art fully automatic multi-customer high-rise cold store with a storage capacity of 60,000 pallet places at the City Terminal in Rotterdam.

Two years after the realization of Kloosterboer Cool Port I, where LUMINAID also supplied the DATALUX linear lighting, a state-of-the-art fully automatic high-rise cold store has now been realized. Pallets are delivered by self-unloading or conventional trucks and are automatically transported from the dispatch hall via roller conveyors, turntables and locks to the cold store, where cranes automatically place the pallets in place.

Challenge

Nature’s Pride is known for its avocados, but many are unaware that they import many other fruits and vegetables. In this way they contribute to a healthy lifestyle. Nature’s Pride is growing fast and has therefore expanded its existing building considerably in 2021. Naturally, there was a need for the best lighting.

Solution

Mansveld Techniek was responsible for the entire electrical installation technology. Together with them, LUMINAID has realized various test setups to convince Nature’s Pride that DATALUX linear lighting is the best technology for their business process. That has become apparent! After the entire expansion was fitted with DATALUX linear lighting, Nature’s Pride also chose to provide the ripening cells with DATALUX via Van Wensen Elektrotechniek.

Challenge

Alliance Automotive Group Benelux is one of the most important players in the automotive aftermarket. They are an internationally operating company, specialized in the distribution and sale of car parts and car accessories. Alliance Automotive Group Benelux owns various brands, formulas and chains in this competitive and specialized field, whose playing field is also increasingly international. Alliance Automotive Group Benelux is based in Ede, the Netherlands. In the context of making business operations more sustainable, a search was made for a simple way in which sustainability and productivity could be improved. New lighting soon proved to be the solution.

Solution

Alliance has executed a technical feasibility study for a large number of locations into the possibilities of new lighting. DATALUX soon came up with linear lighting that saves energy and drastically improves the workplace. Various locations throughout the Netherlands are now being fitted with DATALUX linear lighting. This also applies to large-scale renovations and new construction.

Challenge

Scania Trucks is driving the creation of a sustainable transport system, by creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society and the environment. Part of this is to switch completely to LED lighting in the Benelux. After an intensive selection and testing procedure, Scania has opted to have lighting specialist LuxImprove realize this by switching to LED lighting. A comprehensive lighting plan has been created for each Benelux Scania site based on an increase in the light level and a reduction in energy consumption. For the workshops, and industrial luminaire was needed, being not only energy-efficient but also providing the right lighting experience on the workshop floor.

Solution

LuxImprove’s independent lighting expertise enabled Scania to choose the right lighting technology. It soon became clear that the DATALUX linear lighting system is the most ideal solution for a profound, safe and energy-efficient LED application. The DATALUX.AC variant was deliberately chosen because it allowed for quick and flexible planning and installation. The total care provided by Luximprove, the lighting comfort and an efficiently organized installation ensure sustainable business operations at the various Scania branches.

Challenge

Van der Zee Vlees, based in Twello, offers catering entrepreneurs the service of the standard butcher around the corner, with the range and specialism of a professional catering butcher. For example, van der Zee is the traditional butcher of HANOS. In its butchers, Van der Zee inspires customers with distinctive regional concepts, meat products from our own sausage factory and an international range. The former meat processing company in Twello has recently been completely renovated and modernized. For example, in a large part of the building, so-called food-safe walls and ceilings have been renewed and hygienic floors have been installed to meet the latest strict hygiene requirements. A high-quality food-safe lighting system could of course not be missing.

Solution

Together with consultant RBK and installer Harwig, the LUMINAID project team has drawn up an optimal lighting plan, which meets the highest hygiene requirements. The choice for DATALUX line lighting is therefore logical. The Harwig installers provided the complete installation, creating an energy-efficient, hygienic and pleasant working environment.

Challenge

Lidl works every day on sustainability and making a healthy lifestyle affordable and accessible for everyone. Lidl considers it important that in addition to its product range, its business operations are also sustainable. For example, Lidl ensures that they build sustainably, reuse the residual flows and prevent food waste. Lidl, together with landlord WDP N.V., has opted to significantly reduce electricity consumption in the warehouse in Genk.

Solution

The facility management team of the lessor WDP, together with a project team from LUMINAID, has devised an optimal lighting solution. In addition, the old lighting was completely replaced by energy-efficient DATALUX line lighting. Lidl’s electricity consumption in the warehouse has thus been greatly reduced. The lighting quality for the operators in the warehouse has also been greatly improved. Better light quality ensures fitter employees, better colour recognition and an increased safe workplace.

Challenge

Alumet in Etten Leur (NL) anodises profiles, sheet metal and construction parts. Especially for facade construction and interior construction. With a capacity of 6,000 tons per year, Alumet is one of the top surface treatment companies in the Benelux. Alumet recently realized an important expansion. Due to the increase in demand at home and abroad, Etten-Leur has realized a modern factory that ensures fast delivery times and further improved quality. The new line is fully automated. The colour of the product is measured during and after anodising. Contractor Valeres was responsible for the new building, Bink Installatie in Zundert for the electrical installations.

Solution

The production hall covers 10,000 square meters and is equipped with a high-quality DATALUX light line system. This creates an optimal working environment where colour recognition and safety have top priority. An efficient lighting plan was devised together with Bink to achieve the best lighting situation.

Challenge

Logistics service provider Kloosterboer has built a new state-of-the-art fully automatic high-rise cold store in Lelystad. The cold store has a capacity of 40,000 pallets. The new location uses 50 per cent less energy than a conventional cold store.

Solution

The complete warehouse solution consists of an automated warehouse with very high storage areas and a lower storage zone, the so-called high-performance sequencing buffer, which contains more than 700 pallets. Therefore, hardly any lighting is needed in the automated warehouse: after all, these areas are not staffed. However, for maintenance and of course in the general area, the most suitable lighting system has been chosen: DATALUX. The project was realized together with Beemster.

Challenge

Since 2018, Brouwers Transport has a logistics center of 12,000 m2 on the Rietveldenkade in Den Bosch. DATALUX line lighting is used to full satisfaction. Brouwers is growing fast, so contractor Unibouw and Hendriks Installatie have built a second warehouse, the same size as the existing building. It concerns a warehouse with eleven loading and unloading docks, two ground level doors and several other offices.

Solution

Together with Hendriks Installatie Techniek BV from Gemert, LUMINAID once again provided the complete lighting in the warehouse. The DATALUX system provides a unique light experience for the employees in the reach trucks and the loading and unloading areas. Naturally, smart motion sensors and the unique DCEM30DX emergency lighting system are used.

DC Braak warehouse

Challenge

At the beginning of 2020, warehouse facility DC Braak was completed at the Borchwerf I business park in Roosendaal. This modern and high-quality logistics distribution center was designed by Stripes architects and developed by Intervest. Builder Bolckmans realized this building with a total area of approximately 28,600 m². The DC has been developed with the ambition of Breeam Outstanding and provides, among other things, solar panels, LED lighting and motion sensors.

Solution

High-quality installer Van Dijnsen took care of all electrical engineering. One of the challenges was a uniquely uniform lighting experience at the highest sustainability standards. The choice for DATALUX was then quickly made. The entire distribution center is equipped with DATALUX line lighting, with integrated emergency lighting and cleverly programmed PIR tronics.

Sanitairkamer Hardewijk

Challenge

Sanitair Kamer in Hardewijk is supplier of high-quality sanitary articles and tiling. For a better design of their business processes, a new industrial hall of 3,000 m2 has been realized in the town of Hardewijk. Botec Bedrijfsruimtebouw was responsible for the realization, Brian Franken Technieken was responsible for the electrical installations. A linear lighting system where a safe and pleasant working environment was created was one of the most important requirements.

Solution

The choice for DATALUX was made quickly. Because of long continuous light without any glare and good color recognition, Brian Franken Technieken has chosen DATALUX linear lighting. Sanitair Kamer also has an extremely durable lighting system, both in terms of service life and due to the very low energy consumption.
